Beautiful refit that’s all for you

Our focus is all about you, our patients, and we are constantly looking to create a top-class experience from the very moment you step into Grace. With this in mind, we set local interior designers Urban Lounge the task of achieving a beautiful, but also comfortable and inviting space, for our visitors to enjoy.

Christine Morris, Project Manager from Urban Lounge, discusses the renovation of the reception and admissions lounge;

“The whole focus of the brief was on providing personalised care for patients and families. We wanted to make sure that we made the entrance a welcoming environment, where people feel nurtured and cared for - but with more of a contemporary edge, so that patients of all ages felt at home. To help achieve this, we used natural materials and warm wood colours, and opened up the area to let more natural light in.

“The latest trends are about lighter and brighter spaces – and this paired well with the usability we wanted in these areas. For example, patients and families need to be comfortable in the admissions lounge for a couple of hours, so we put in some big comfy chairs that you can curl up in, and the good natural light in the room means that you can enjoy reading a magazine or the paper, or just relax and watch TV. The children’s lounge also has a whole new feel, with comfy bean bags and new toys and books for the littlies to enjoy.”
