Ongoing construction at Grace campus
The Oropi construction project team has just completed the new endoscopy room. A stunning new suite with the latest technology for integration of the equipment required for gastro-intestinal endoscopy procedures such as colonoscopy and gastroscopy is now in use. Scope cleaning and storage equipment has also taken a huge leap ahead with the new technology available to ensure safety standards are being met.
We’re still working on some of the behind-the-scenes storerooms for the new endoscopy room but will see the contractors move away from that area towards the end of August once all has been completed.
If you accidentally enter Grace at the Gate 3 entrance, you’ll see the construction starting for our West Wing extension. If you’re coming to Grace, please use our main entrance (Gate 1), it’s a bit hazardous around the back with large trucks entering and exiting the site.
Our West Wing Extension will contain 10 additional inpatient beds and enlarged back of house functions to meet the demands of our very busy theatres. This project is a big one and will take around 2.5 years to complete.
We’ll do our best to ensure that the construction doesn’t cause any impact to our patients, but of course, there may be a little noise and vibration during the heavy earthworks.
We’re continuing with our commitment to the local community by expanding our services to meet the health needs of our people.
