Covid-19 Precautions as of 1st September 2022
Tēnā koutou
All patients coming to Grace for a procedure should be fully vaccinated if eligible. Your surgeon’s consulting room staff will check your vaccination status and will inform us when booking your surgery.
Unvaccinated patients or those who have not received the full course of 2 primary vaccinations plus booster will be assessed and managed according to transmission risk.
ALL patients are required to complete a Rapid Antigen Test on arrival for admission.
You will be aware the Government has initiated the ORANGE level Protection Framework from 13.4.2022.
At ORANGE level we are permitting only one visitor per patient during hospitalisation, visiting hours are 9am to 8pm. No children under 12 years are permitted to visit. The ward visitor’s lounge will remain closed and we ask visitors to remain in patient rooms.
If you are a parent of a child having surgery, or you are a carer of a patient and need to assist in care provision overnight please contact us on 07 577 5270; you will be required to undergo a Rapid Antigen test at the time of patient admission.
Everyone entering the hospital must be wearing a surgical mask (over 7 years) and sanitise their hands before entering any area. Grace Hospital does not allow mask exemptions.
If you have had Covid-19 in the last three months, please advise your surgeon, anaesthetist and Grace Hospital.
Please also advise Grace Hospital (07 577 5270) if:
- you have any symptoms of Covid-19,
- you have been in close contact with a positive or suspected case in the last 10 days,
We’re hopeful that with the above measures in place we can protect our patients, visitors and staff from being exposed to Covid19 whilst at Grace.
Thank you for your co-operation. Any queries, please contact me via janetk@gracehospital.co.nz
