Covid-19 Precautions as of 4th February 2022
Tēnā koutou
All patients coming to Grace for a procedure should be fully vaccinated if eligible, and we require a vaccine pass to be shown on entry. Your surgeon’s consulting room staff will check your vaccination status and will inform us when booking your surgery.
Unvaccinated patients or those who have received only 1 vaccination will be assessed and managed according to transmission risk.
ALL patients are required to complete a Rapid Antigen Test on arrival for admission.
You will be aware the Government has initiated the RED level Protection Framework from midnight 23.01.2022 in preparation for managing a Covid 19 Omicron variant outbreak. Due to the increased risk of Omicron infection we have reviewed our risk minimisation strategies.
For this reason we are no longer allowing visitors in Grace Hospital, apart from one parent to accompany our paediatric patients, or for those patients requiring a carer to attend while in hospital. Parents and carers are also required to complete a rapid antigen tests at admission.
Everyone entering the hospital must sign in and out at main reception to enable contact tracing, scan the QR code at the door, be wearing a mask, sanitise their hands before entering any area and provide evidence of Covid 19 vaccination.
Please advise us on 07 577 5270 if you have any symptoms of Covid-19, have been in close contact with a positive or suspected case or have been at a location of interest and advised to self-isolate.
Please disregard any information about booking a Covid Test with Rako Science that you may have received from your surgeons rooms. From January 2022 any Covid tests required will take place at Grace Hospital on admission.
We’re hopeful that with the above measures in place we can protect our patients, visitors and staff from being exposed to covid19 whilst at Grace.
Thank you for your co-operation. Any queries, please contact me via janetk@gracehospital.co.nz
