Grace Hospital is pleased to welcome Orthopaedic Surgeon, David Bartle to their team.
David is a Spine, Knee and General Orthopaedic Surgeon. He is a Fellow of the New Zealand Orthopaedic Association, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He holds membership with the New Zealand Spine and Knee Societies and registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.
David commenced his tertiary study in mechanical engineering before going on to study medicine at the University of Otago. He completed his undergraduate medical training in 2002 and his orthopaedic specialty training in 2012. He subsequently travelled overseas completing a Knee Fellowship in Edinburgh and a Spine Fellowship in Brisbane. These fellowships were supplemented with a number of shorter observerships at specialist centres.
Surgical Education and Disaster Relief are two of David’s professional interests. He is currently studying for a Master’s Degree in Surgical Education through the University of Melbourne and is an honorary lecturer at the University of Waikato. David also works with the New Zealand Medical Assistance Team and New Zealand Defence Force as an orthopaedic surgeon.
David practices from the Grace Orthopaedic Centre.
