Day Stay
The Oropi Centre has a dedicated entrance for patients that will be undergoing procedures in the two Oropi Procedure rooms.
These procedures are endoscopy (which is carried out in the dedicated endoscopy room), and minor surgical procedures carried out under either local anaesthetic or general anaesthetic in the minor procedure theatre.
The processes for day stay have been able to be stream-lined to reduce waiting times for patients by enhancing the design of the facility to allow for easy progression from admission through to discharge home. Most day stay procedures require 2-4 hours stay.
Nurses in day stay are specialists in ensuring that you are reassured, comfortable, and cared for throughout the day stay processes. After care will be explained so that patients will feel confident in managing at home.
